The Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS) is one of the most crucial subsystems of the spacecraft. It is responsible for maintaining a stable attitude and pointing accuracy of the satellite devices i.e. cameras, antennas, payloads, and other measuring instruments. Its essence is the process of controlling the orientation of the satellite with respect to an inertial frame of reference (usually ECI or ECEF), using either reaction wheels or magnetic coils (magnetorquers).

At the beginning of September, we posted a press release on expanding our business to the United Kingdom (https://bit.ly/2Fi2rNh). We cannot wait to develop our company in one of the biggest markets in Newspace. In the meantime, as we settle in the UK, we decided to visit Rainer Groh (virtually at least) at the University of Bristol. Mr. Groh has a podcast named Aerospace Engineering (https://bit.ly/3ixrkD0), in which our very own, Damian Jamroz (Managing Director) and Grzegorz Marzec (Pre-Sales Engineer) spoke about SatRevolution.

The December 2021 mission, called SOWA, will follow in the footsteps of SatRevolution’s previous missions SW1FT and STORK, which will launch in December 2020 and June 2021 respectively. All missions are equipped with SatRevolution’s optical payload Vision 300, capable of capturing imagery of up to 5 m resolution, however SOWA mission will come with multispectral capability to provide additional remote sensing services.

Last week, we had the good fortune of receiving special guests from Aurora Propulsion Technologies. A Finish company dedicated to creating scalable solutions and services for small spacecraft maneuvering and lifetime management. Their sole purpose was to integrate the AuroraSat-1 payloads with the satellite platform at our SatRevolution facilities.

SatRevolution, a forerunner of the space industry in Poland, today announced an innovative Earth-observation shared services mission to launch in the middle of 2021.
The 2021 mission, called STORK, will closely follow the SatRevolution’s mission SW1FT (Swift), which will launch this December on SpaceX Falcon 9 rideshare launch. Both missions are equipped with SatRevolution’s optical payload Vision 300, capable of capturing images of up to 5 m resolution.

Our 3rd satellite, named AMICal Sat, will be launched to orbit this Friday, June 19th, according to plans. Arianespace, a European launch provider, will carry out 53 satellites on the Small Spaacecraft Mission Service (SSMS) Proof of Concept (PoC). The result of this satellite is due to the involvement of students and teachers, researchers, and new space companies. The satellite was designed and manufactured by several EU countries such as Poland, Italy and France, thus, combining their knowledge, varying from mechanical, electronics to computer science.

As of May 31st, 2020, SatRevolution started the work on the project co-financed with The National Center for Research and Development, named “Developing a Revolutionary Earth Imaging Service using the REC Satellite Constellation.” The project shall conclude with the successful launch of 8 satellites into Low-Earth orbit in May 2023, however, the data delivery from the constellation shall begin even before the project’s conclusion. The project budget is 53 million zlotych ($14 million). It will be the first Polish constellation of Earth observation satellites to be designed, manufactured and launched in recorded Polish history.

Seattle, WA (June 9, 2020) – RBC Signals, the leading provider of flexible and cost-effective space communication services, and SatRevolution, a forerunner of new space industry in Poland, today announced they have signed an agreement. The contract secures Telemetry Tracking and Command (TT&C) and data downloads for SatRevolution, supporting a group of the new space company’s cubesats slated for launch in December 2020.

Spiral Blue is launching its first prototype Space Edge Zero (SEZ) computer for testing in orbit. The SEZ will be a part of SatRevolution’s SW1FT shared platform mission, set for launch on a SpaceX Falcon 9 no earlier than December 2020. Following in orbit qualification, the SEZ will be tested throughout 2021.

Measure 1.1 “R&D projects of enterprises”, Sub-measure 1.1.1 “Research industrial and development works carried out by enterprises. ” Out of 33 submitted applications, 31 applications were assessed

Bionanosatelite is our new project. It will be a combination of space technology, biotechnology and medicine. Together with Wrocław University of Science, Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, Ludwik Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy PAS and Wrocław Medical University we are working on a project, that will allow development of new medical therapies.

Katowice, Poland — 9 October 2019 — Scientists andengineers from nearly a dozen Polish universities have teamed up with Poland-based satellite company SatRevolution and Sir Richard Branson’s small satellite launch company Virgin Orbit to establish a new consortium to design and carry out the world’s first dedicated commercial small satellite mission to Mars. The parties established the consortium at a formal signing ceremony during the Impact Mobility’19 rEVolution conference in Katowice, Poland. More here.

Look at this video!! The collaboration between the manufacturer of Irix Lens and SatRevolution company began in mid 2017. The result of this collaboration is the first prototype of the Irix 300 SR experimental lens, which, combined with the camera installed in the Światowid nanosatellite, will provide the best possible quality of Earth’s images from space. Thank you Irix Lens ! We are in space together! Światowid has already reached the International Space Station and he is waiting for deployement into orbit!
